What to Expect on the Cusco City Tour
Take a half-day stroll through the ancient historical sites of the city of Cusco. Cuzco sits at the heart of the Sacred Valley for the Inca empire. The Cusco tour starts in Koricancha, which is also known as the Sun Temple. We will then visit each of the Inca ruins sites to the Northeast of the city. These include Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, Q’enko, and Sacsayhuaman. This is a beautiful introduction to the city once you arrive in Cusco.
This is a half-day riding/walking tour of the Inca city of Cusco. This day tour can begin at any time between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm. We will start the day in Koricancha, which is also known as the Sun Temple. After visiting the site we will then move to the four Inca ruin sites in the northeast of the city. First on the list is Tambomachay (Temple of the Water) which was used for the worship of water. Next is on to the complex known as Puca Pucara, which was a military control center. We will then visit Q’enko (the Labyrinth), which was a religious center dedicated to the Earth. We will then end the day at the Sacsayhuaman Inca Temple.

When should I make reservations for the Cusco Tour?
As far in advance as possible is best so that we may reserve your spot for transportation. You may book this day tour up until three days prior to the tour.
How fit do I need to be?
Some mild walking fitness is necessary. However, it is not required to be in excellent shape to participate in this tour. This is a bus/car transportation tour. For some of the sites, it is best if you have some moderate cardiovascular fitness, as it can be difficult to hike up the temples.
Is there an age restriction?
Unlimited. This is a bus tour with walking and moderate stair climbing at each of the Inca ruins.
What sort of meals do you offer?
None provided. You are responsible for your own meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
When's orientation?
Orientation will take place at your hotel prior to the trip unless we pick you up from the airport. We know everyone’s travel plans are different therefore we try and accommodate. Once your trip is booked you will be assigned a travel expert who will help you organize a time and place for your guide to meet you.
Where do I store my luggage during the Cusco City Tour?
You will have to make your own arrangements. Most hotels will hold your luggage for free or with a fee.
How's the weather?

How many people are in a group?
There is no minimum.
Can I use the Boleto Turistico for the Sacred Valley tour?
Yes. If you are doing a Sacred Valley Tour, this will suffice as your entrance ticket for many of the ruins on that trip.
What is the cancellation policy?
Unfortunately, no refunds can be provided within 30 days of departure. It is difficult to replace you on the bus after that time frame. The payment is used to purchase and reserve your spot on the private bus and secure your permits. Any cancellation over 30 days is subject to a cancellation fee as outlined in the terms and conditions.
When is payment due?
A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. The full payment is due 30 days prior to tour departure. If booking within thirty days of the tour, full payment of the tour is required. This provides payment for your Cusco City Tour transportation, tour guide, Cusco tourist ticket, etc. You will be responsible for your meals, (breakfast, lunch dinner).
What should I bring?
We recommend you bring a water bottle, camera, sunscreen, hat, rain jacket, hiking/comfortable walking shoes, money for lunch and souvenirs.
Do I need a passport for Cusco Tours?
No. But we recommend that you carry a copy of your passport on you at all times to have some sort of identification.
How long is the Cusco City Tour?
This is a half-day tour. We can start your tour at anytime between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM depending on your preferences. We recommend doing this day trip right after you fly into Cusco.
What is transportation like?
We require you to notify us of your accommodations in Cusco at least 2 days prior to the tour. We will pick you up at your hotel on the morning of the tour. If you are flying in from Lima, Peru, and doing the tour the same day we will get you at the airport. Failure to notify us of your hotel location will result in the cancellation of your tour. You will be transported by bus to each location on the itinerary. Upon return to Cusco, the bus will drop you off at your hotel.
What can I expect from my tour guide?
Our tour guide all speak excellent English. All our guides provide the highest level of service. Ask as many questions as you like and ask to see what you want. Our guides will tailor your experience to your needs! This is your trip!
Can I do the Cusco City Tour by horse?
Sure, can! It is an extra $125 per person to do this tour by horse.
